Parts of the UK are set to see up to six inches of snow, as drivers were warned of perilous driving conditions in some areas. Forecasters say the latest snowfall will be followed by rain, before much of the country enjoys a period of sunshine and milder temperatures.
Ryanair anger at landmark legal ruling
Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary has predicted a “dramatic” rise in air fares – after his airline lost a landmark case. He claimed the ruling, that airlines should pay passenger costs when they’re stranded, would hit customers and drive operators to the wall.
MEPs urge Commission to draft common rules for carry-on luggage
The excessive restrictions and arbitrary charges that some airlines impose on carry-on luggage must end, said MEPs in a debate with Commissioner De Gucht on Thursday. Most speakers urged the Commission to include a reasonable hand language allowance rule in the coming revision of air passenger rights legislation, which is to be tabled before the summer.

Ryanair bring in credit card processing fee and £6 admin charge
BUDGET airline Ryanair is to introduce a two per cent processing fee on all new credit card bookings made from tomorrow. The Irish company said it was making the announcement in order to comply with a recent Office of Fair Trading ruling.
A Fifth of Holidaymakers Travel Uninsured
According to a survey by ABTA, 20 per cent of all holidaymakers travel uninsured, putting themselves at risk of high medical bills if they fall ill or have an accident abroad. The over 65s fare slightly better, but 16 per cent still venture abroad without taking out appropriate cover.
